After reading The Dictator’s Handbook, it was a pleasure to switch to something a bit less…depressing. Algorithms to Live By: The Computer Science of Human Decisions by Brian Christian and Tom Griffiths was a real pleasure.
The book walked through a list of common algorithms and applied them to every day life–providing some colorful portraits and anecdotes along the way. I particularly enjoyed the introduction of the idea of computational kindness.
Definitely worth the read or listen.
